Elmira Olson

Elmira Olson is a registered acupuncturist with Healing Arts. She earned her diploma at Grant MacEwan College after 3 years of study in the Acupuncture program. As an elective part of her study, she travelled to China to complete a one month practicum at the Heze Medical College. During her time there, she visited various hospitals throughout China and gained first hand knowledge of acupuncture in an integrated setting. She attended several seminars given by well known Chinese acupuncturists, learning different techniques and approaches. Elmira also has an honors degree in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan.

The biggest thing that draws her to this field is how acupuncture focuses on the overall well being of the patient. Treatments are designed to help your body regain its natural balance and restore health, without the side effects and symptoms that are common with prescription medicines. Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions, as well as for pain relief.
