Genevieve Boyer

With a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree from the University of Alberta (1998) and a Diploma with Distinction in Acupuncture from Grant MacEwan College (2006), registered acupuncturist Genevieve Boyer integrates the concepts of Traditional Oriental Medicine with modern conventional medical knowledge to provide effective treatments catered to the constitution and unique health concerns of her clients.

Genevieve loves acupuncture as a form of medicine because it helps the body to heal itself. By using appropriate stimulation of specific points, acupuncture and related modalities direct the body back to a state of health and balance and help to release built up tension and stress. Furthermore, she loves using the principles of Traditional Oriental Medicine to diagnose her clients because she is a firm believer that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” and this form of medicine is very well suited to recognizing and addressing even minor imbalances in the body. That said, acupuncture is a powerful form of healing and can also be effective for advanced conditions such as stroke rehabilitation, support during cancer treatment and in severe pain conditions such as arthritis.

Genevieve runs a general practice at Healing Arts, where she sees clients of all ages with all kinds of health concerns. She also specializes in acupuncture for fertility, pregnancy and the postpartum period, and offers facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
