Healing Arts Massage Therapy

Gerri Aiudi

Gerri Aiudi has been in private practice since 1989 when she completed her massage training at Grant McEwan College. Shortly afterwards she studied reflexology, Reiki, and Trager Psychophysical Integration. She also began teaching through workshops and lectures to share the healing and therapeutic benefit of touch.

In the early 1990's she assisted at The Sexual Assault Centre in the Crisis Intervention Program and Adults Molested as Children Program. Her practice reflected this as she began to work with massaging survivors of sexual abuse. As her interest in bodymind therapy expanded, she studied other techniques such as St. John's Neuromuscular Therapy, Russian massage, lymph drainage, and visceral manipulation. She also began to teach in the Massage Therapy program at Grant McEwan College. Her focus began to shift to working with whiplash injuries in a wholistic fashion.

In 1994, she began her studies in craniosacral therapy with The Upledger Institute and then became devoted to expanding her knowledge in this field. She has studied CranioSacral Therapy Level I & II, Somatoemotional Release Level I & II, CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics, and Advanced CranioSacral Therapy with The Upledger Institute. She is also a teaching assistant with the Institute. In addition, she has studied with The Milne Institute and has advanced training with two osteopaths - Dr. Gideon Seth and Dr. Alain Gehin. Dr. Seth taught her advanced osteopathic techniques. Dr. Gehin, a world authority on cranial manipulation, taught her a series of three advanced trainings in cranial manipulation and treatment.

Recently, her studies with The Upledger Institute have included: The Brain Speaks; Cranial Anatomy; Being Present as a Therapeutic Tool; Healing from the Core - Grounding and Boundaries.

At present, Gerri Aiudi has a fulltime practice at Healing Arts where she specializes in craniosacral therapy. She is a member of two professional massage associations (MTAA and NHPC).
